Magalloway Mountain
At 3360 feet in elevation there is a spectacular view of Pittsburg and the surrounding region. You can see Maine, Vermount, Quebec and even Mt. Washington 56 miles to the south.
It takes about 1 hour to hike up the mountain.
Directions to Magalloway Mountain
Travle North on Rt. 3 past First Conn. Lake. Turn Right on Magalloway Rd. at the Magalloway Tower Singn, and set your odometer to "0" to track mileages.
Bear Right after bridge over Ct. River.
Bear Left at next fork (2.3 mi.)
Bear Left at next fork (2.95 mi.)
Turn Right at the next road (5.3 miles from Rt.3) This is the road to Magalloway Tower, continue down this road to reach the trailhead.
